India won three gold, two silver and two bronze on day five of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, taking their medals tally to 19.
India finished 1 and 3 in men's 10m air pistol event, with Jitu Rai winning gold and Om Prakash a bronze medal. Later, Mehuli Ghosh and Apurvi Chandela finished 2nd and 3rd in women's 10m Air Rifle final. Earlier on Day 5, weightlifter Pardeep Singh won a silver in men's 105kg event. Men's table tennis team won India's ninth gold after beating Nigeria 3-0. The badminton team followed suit late in the day and won gold after beating Malaysia 3-1. India win 9th gold by beating Nigeria 3-0 in men's team table tennis gold medal rubber. Sathiyan GNANASEKARAN and Harmeet DESAI win third match 11-8 11-5 11-3 to seal the deal for India.
India's Muhammed Anas Yahiya, meanwhile, has won his semifinal to reach men's 400m final. He clocked 45.44 to top Semifinal 3.
