Latest data - BJP wins 15 and leading in 289. SP leads in 51, Congress 08 and BSP in 16.
Either the EVMs did not accept votes other than BJP, or the votes of other parties have gone to BJP in the EVMs, says BSP chief Mayawati.
Most votes in Muslim majority constituencies have gone to BJP, makes it evident that voting machines were manipulated, she adds.

The previous best showing by BJP in UP was in 1991, at the height of Ram Janam Bhoomi movement, when it got majority on its own winning 221 seats out of 425 in an undivided state.

The BJP has been out of power in UP for 14 years.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and its ally, Apna Dal, swept the polls bagging 73 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state, riding the Modi wave.
In the last two UP Assembly elections, the voters of the state had given clear mandates. In 2012, the SP won 224 seats followed by the BSP (80) and the BJP (47).
The Congress and the RLD, which had contested the Assembly elections together, bagged 28 and 9 seats respectively.
In 2007, the BSP had emerged as the largest party with 206 seats followed by the SP which won 97 seats. The BJP had won 51 seats, while the RLD bagged 10 seats.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the RLD could not win a single seat. Ajit Singh lost to BJP's Satypal Singh in his bastion of Baghpat, while his son Jayant Chaudhary also lost in Mathura to BJP's Hema Malini.

If Akhilesh Yadav loses UP Assembly Elections it's going to be a serious debacle for him.
Akhilesh had met with stiff Opposition from different quarters of the party but he stuck to his stand. He forged a pre-poll alliance with the Congress whose success or failure may establish or destablise him depending upon the poll outcome.

These elections are widely being seen as a virtual referendum on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation decision.
The UP Assembly election results 2017 will decide the fate of Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati as they seek to prevent the BJP from gaining power in the politically-crucial state.
The IndiaToday-Axis poll, however, gave the BJP a comfortable majority of 251-279 seats. The Samajwadi-Congress could win 88-112 seats and the BSP 28-42 seats.
But TimesNow-VMR predicted the BJP could win 190-210 seats, the Samajwadi-Congress 110-130 and the BSP 57-74. CNN-News18-Gramener said the BJP could win 164 seats, the Samajwadi-Congress 147 and the BSP 81.
The India TV-CVoter exit poll predicted 155-167 seats for the BJP, 135-147 for the Samajwadi-Congress alliance and 81-93 for the BSP.
According to NewsX-MRC poll, the BJP and its allies may win 185 seats, the Congress-Samajwadi Party combine 120 and the Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) 90.
The average exit poll results on Thursday gave 180 seats for the BJP in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly, way short of the 202-mark needed to form a government.
The average turnout in the seven phases of polling that began on February 11 has been around 60-61 per cent compared to 59.48 percent in 2012.
Over 60 percent of the 1.41 crore voters exercised their franchise in the seventh and last phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls in 40 seats, bringing down the curtain on a gruelling two-month-long process.
Elections in all five states has been dubbed as a litmus test for the Narendra Modi government.
In UP polling was announced in seven phases between February 11 and March 8.
The high-decibel campaign in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur and Goa was set rolling after the EC announced polling dates on January 4.
In Punjab and Goa polling was held on February 5, while Uttarakhand went to polls on February 15.
On March 06 too, PM Modi, while wrapping up his hectic campaign with a rally at Rohaniya, made an impassioned plea to voters to defeat SP-Congress combine and BSP, blaming these parties for the plight of Uttar Pradesh.
