Manipur Exit Poll 2017: As it happened
On Thursday, re-polling was held in 34 polling stations in the state after malpractices were found in the poll process in eight assembly constituencies.
CVoter exit polls predict BJP getting 25 to 31 seats while Congress trailing at the second position with 17 to 23 seats.
The Congress party's 15-year rule in Manipur seems to be in peril, as exit polls forecast BJP victory. According to CVoter BJP will likely win the maximum number of seats in the 60-strong Manipur Legislative Assembly election.
Axis poll now predicts Congress wining 24 seats.
The CVoter predictions are based on a sample of 1,330 people. The Saffron party is expected to bag 34.8 percent of the vote share while the Congress is expected to receive 32.7 percent.
According to India TV exit poll, the BJP is likely to win Manipur with 25-31 seats, followed by Congress with 17-23 seats.
After BJP and Congress, Irom Sharmila's newly-formed People's Resurgence and Justice Alliance, are expected to claim the remaining seats, according to CVoter.
The Congress' expected 32.7 percent vote share will represent a sharp drop from its 45.6 per cent vote share in the previous election.
If the exit poll predictions come true, the BJP will effectively end the Congress party's 15-year rule in the state.
