BJP is returning to power in both Goa and Manipur.
All the 40 assembly constituencies of Goa went to polling in a single phase on February 14 with a voter turnout of nearly 79%. Similarly, Manipur had voted in two phases – on February 28 and March 5.
The voters’ turnout in Goa was nearly 79% with a large turnout from Sanquelim, where Pramod Sawant, the CM and BJP leader, is a candidate. While in Manipur, the recorded voters’ turnout was 78.03% and 76.6% respectively.
Meanwhile, as per Zee News Exit polls, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to win 32-38 seats out of the 60-seat Manipur. Congress, on the other hand, is likely to get 12- 17 seats. While the NPF may win 3-5 seats, the NPP is expected to get 2-4 seats.
Meanwhile in Goa, the Congress alliance is predicted to bag 14-19 seats, followed by BJP which can secure around 13-18 seats. The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) alliance is likely to win 2-5 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and others can win 1-3 seats each.

Amid ongoing counting of votes, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has won the Assembly elections by a majority.
Sawant also said that in the 40-member Goa Assembly, as many as 20 seats are confirmed for the BJP, while for three seats, the party has "confirmed support".
"The people of Goa have given us a clear majority. We will get 20 seats or even 1-2 seats more. People have shown faith in PM Modi. Independent candidates are coming with us. MGP is also coming with us and taking all together, we will form our govt," said BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis.

"Party leadership will decide," he said, on being asked if Pramod Sawant will continue as the CM.

The strong rooms have just been opened in the presence of candidates and observers. Postal ballots will be taken to the counting halls through a dedicated corridor of security personnel. Counting for South Goa will be done at Damodar College, said Collector Ruchika Katiyal.
